12. Unspoken Connections

The sun hung high in the sky, its rays glinting off the steel frames and half-constructed structures of the massive project Khushi and Daksh were working on. The site buzzed with activity-workers in helmets and neon vests moved about, machines hummed, and the air carried the sharp scent of cement and dust.

Khushi and Daksh arrived together, their presence commanding attention as they stepped out of their respective cars. Khushi was dressed in her usual sharp business attire, her cold demeanor intact, while Daksh looked effortlessly suave in a tailored suit, his usual easygoing smile plastered on his face.
